2/7/11 If I need to use one picture to sum up my day, then this is it. Enough said.

2/6/11 Not a football fan, I went to work in my office on Superbowl Sunday. I also get to enjoy a little sun and the serenity while I’m at it.

2/5/11 While many parts of the country (i.e., the south and the northeast) are getting pummeled by snow and ice, I say a little blessing for the beautiful California weather (in February).  On this particular Saturday, I was able to enjoy a relaxing and quiet afternoon in my backyard.

2/4/11 Friday often feels like the culmination of all week–work has to be off the desk and the last burst of energy before a brief period of rest. We can finally breath a sigh of relief when we head home from the weariness of the week. Food for comfort is just what I need.

Picture a Month: Blue Books

2/3/11 One of the biggest part of my academic life is learning how to be a good teacher. I collected a stack of blue books from my students’ midterms. Guess what I’ll be doing this weekend?

2/2/2011 When I first moved to California, I received a necklace with a palm tree charm from my husband. This dusky Californian evening reminded me that I am in my own way, living out my California Dream.

Picture A Month: February

I am challenging myself to a full month of photographic fun. It might be something sweet, something bright, something surprising, or something cool. Whatever it is, it’s a photo that tells a story of a day in my life.

So for 2/1/2011, I have Pinkberry. It’s appropriate because where else can one have FroYo in February (aka winter) and doesn’t feel a chill? It must be a (southern) California “thing.”
